Fight Aging Naturally with These Essential Hormones for Your Skin

Fight Aging Naturally with These Essential Hormones for Your Skin

While walking down the path of time, most people experience the effects of aging physically on their skin from fine lines, wrinkles, and dark pigmentations. If you struggle with the physical appearance of aging, I have some simple solutions for you.

female face wrinkles and skin imperfection

I had the honor of attending a webinar hosted by Dr. Terry Hertoghe, a world-renown physician expert in hormone therapy. During this master class, Dr. Heritage talked about hormone therapy and how it can improve skin health. The old adage was that our hormones decline because we age, but the new answer is that we age because our hormones decline.

woman looks at herself in the mirror

Fortunately, Dr. Hertoghe shared some practical solutions to skin health so that aging and its consequences may be unnecessary.

Hormone and peptide therapy can stop or even reverse the aging process, making you look 40 years old instead of 60.

It can even improve the outcomes of cosmetic procedures and surgeries. Whole health and balanced hormones improve your appearance from the inside out, reversing the physical aging of your skin, creating cellular rejuvenation, and improving the seemingly irreversible effects of aging.

Fight Aging Naturally Master Tip!

Which Hormones Naturally Fight the Aging Process?

Growth hormone improves how your body distributes fat, improving both cellulite and muscle appearance. The physical appearance of the thyroid hormone dates back to 1889 when doctors starting seeing that a thyroid deficiency contributed to the aging process of the skin.

Women are usually after a youthful, feminine face which comes from female hormones like estrogen and progesterone. Decreased levels of these hormones can cause paleness, dry skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and even flat hair.

Estrogen deficiencies can cause a 70% decrease in feminization in females, and the effects are worse for males. Certain foods such as cereals and grains have been shown to decrease estrogen levels, so be cautious with your diet. After the age of 40, 25% of individuals have a testosterone deficiency.

hormone Oxytocin and chemical formula

Another hormone that Dr. Hertoghe talked about was oxytocin, the hormone of affection. If you’re deficient in oxytocin, you can’t feel well-connected to your spouse, your kids, or even your community. You’ll likely suffer from burnout, anxiety, and a loss of dignity.

hormone vasopressin written on notebook

Vasopressin is another important hormone, capable of reversing dehydration, smoothing skin folds, and improving sunken skin. Facial creams containing vitamin C, melatonin, and topical progesterone can help with pigment spots, fine lines, and wrinkles. Topical progesterone can improve skin health, plus positively impact low moods, nervousness, and anxiety.

Balance Your Hormones for a Youthful Appearance

young and old women's skin comparision

When it comes to hormones, it’s a delicate balance. You need the correct amount of hormones and you typically only need to supplement with small doses. Overdosing on hormones can create other kinds of problems, so have your levels tested and get appropriate prescriptions. Know that hormone therapy can take months, so you have to be patient with it.

In order to reverse the aging process, be proactive with your health and wellness. Don’t just wait for age to happen to you and hope you can decrease symptoms. Have your hormone levels tested so you can correct any deficiencies as soon as they’re detected.

Doctor's #1 Tip To Reverse Puffy Eyes and Bags (DO IT DAILY!)

Doctor’s #1 Tip To Reverse Puffy Eyes and Bags (DO IT DAILY!)

Aging, amongst other reasons, is a common cause puffy eyes. We know that certain things can help: reducing salt, improving allergies, relieving sinus congestion, drinking more water, getting more sleep, and avoiding fatigue and stress. But we’re going to reveal a number one tip to help with puffy eyes.

The #1 Tip To Reverse Puffy Eyes and Eye Bags

man's hand making a cup of green tea

This is one remedy you can enjoy internally and see the benefits externally — green tea.

Green tea has been used by countries and civilizations around the world to help fight aging because of the powerful antioxidants it has. Green tea contains polyphenols called catechins, epicatechins and EGCG. EGCG is one of the most important ones. They’re polyphenols that have powerful antioxidant effects.

What makes this such a great solution is you can simply brew a strong cup of green tea and enjoy its benefits. Here’s how to do it:

woman with natural facial makeup holding green tea bags
  1. Brew a strong cup of green tea. Use two teabags.
  2. Place the used teabags on your eyes. Once you’re done drinking your green tea, let the teabags cool. Then, gently place the used teabags on your eyes.

All you have to do is try this for seven days, and it can dramatically change how your eyes look.

The green tea bags are astringent, which helps skin cells contract. It also contains vitamin C, folic acid, quercetin, beta carotene, and caffeine, all of which can reduce the puffiness of your eyes and make you look and feel younger.

Dr. Shelton's Favorite Anti Aging Tip (NON NEGOTIABLE!)

Dr. Shelton’s Favorite Anti Aging Tip (NON NEGOTIABLE!)

Who doesn’t want to live longer – and look good doing it? We’re going to reveal our favorite anti-aging tip.

The Blue Zones

flag blue a pin on blue mapThere are cultures and civilizations where a high percentage of people live beyond a hundred years old. Researchers have scoured the globe and looked at different civilizations and places with centenarians (individuals that live over 100 years old). These areas that have a high concentration of centenarians are called Blue Zones. Researchers look at these civilizations so that they can get an idea of common trends on how people in these pockets of the world are able to defy age and live so long.

There are Blue Zones located in Greece, Japan, Sardinia, California, and Costa Rica.

The #1 Anti-Aging Tip

faces of three women agingMost anti-aging tips are no brainers: don’t smoke, eat a good healthy plant-based diet, and exercise. But this number one anti-aging tip may surprise you – social engagement. Continually being involved in your community, being productive and engaged in challenging and interesting work, having relationships, being conscientious and prudent, having intentional choices, and socially involved in helping others could extend your life. Social engagement might be the key to aging. Researchers have found that being socially engaged is really important not only to how you age, but how long you are able to live your life.

Sirtuin and how it effects the aging process

Sirtuin and How it Effects the Aging Process

You’ve probably heard this advice your entire life: you have to live each day to the fullest. Treat each day as a special day and as if it were your last because life goes by fast.

Since the beginning of civilization, humans have looked for the Fountain of Youth in an effort to slow down the aging process. In the United States alone, the antiaging industry takes in over $50 billion a year.

Sirtuin How it Effects the Aging Process

woman's face through the aging processAs the Human Genome Project came to a close a couple of decades ago, scientists discovered an important enzyme called sirtuin, which helps slow down the aging process when it’s activated. There are multiple theories and mechanisms of aging, but sirtuin is a key enzyme in the aging process.

Sirtuin is a highly conserved enzyme, meaning that it’s followed evolution and been found in plants, ants, worms, giraffes, elephants, monkeys, and humans.

The enzyme is highly conserved because it plays a key role in deciding which pathway your DNA and genes are expressed through.

a strand of DNA As a biological catalyst, enzymes accelerate chemical reactions and sirtuin acts as a guardian of genome repair mechanisms. Sirtuin regulates metabolism, transcription of genes, and stress resistance, and it also decreases mating factors, maintains telomeres, and stimulates autophagy. Autophagy acts as a mechanism of repair and maintenance by degrading intracellular proteins, organelles, and membranes. You can think of it like taking out the trash and recycling.

samples of telomere length lossRemember how there are two pathways that genes can be expressed? One pathway is growth and reproduction, where a cell replicates and produces other cells. The other pathway is protection and maintenance. Sirtuin pushes the genetic expression towards protection and maintenance. Sirtuin also maintains telomeres, which caps the ends of DNA. This is important because as telomeres shorten, the aging process accelerates.

With the expression or activation of sirtuin, there’s a 30% increase in lifespan, but with deletion of the gene or enzyme, there’s a 50% decrease in lifespan. Science has also shown that restricting calories can lengthen your lifespan, and sirtuin mimics caloric restriction.

Sirtuin can trick your genes into thinking they’re getting fewer calories even when you’re not. This special enzyme is involved in glucose metabolism, fat mobilization, lipid metabolism, vascular tone, resistance to neurodegeneration, circadian rhythms, and the aging process.

Longevity Activator supplement by Zenith LabsThere are several natural substances you can take to promote the activity of sirtuin, including resveratrol, piceatannol, pterostilbene, fiseten, and melatonin. On the other hand, there are several things to avoid because they inhibit sirtuin, including increased caloric intake, increased weight, high blood sugar, and smoking. If you want to slow down the aging process, you’ve got to do everything you can to activate sirtuin in your system.

Zenith Labs has created a supplement called Longevity Activator, which contains several ingredients to help promote the activity of sirtuin. If you want to learn more about antiaging in particular, visit a website called Digital Ageing Atlas which covers all the influences and consequences of aging.

5 Foods You Should NEVER Eat (They Make You Look Older!)

5 Foods You Should NEVER Eat (They Make You Look Older!)

We all know that the foods we eat affect us on the inside, as well as the outside. But did you know that there are certain foods that will make you feel and look older? There are five foods groups that have various mechanisms that actually change how you age. We’ll be giving you a little insight to each of them here.

5 Foods You Should NEVER Eat

1. Refined grains

different type of breads made with refined grain in a basketRefined grains include anything made from white flour: baked goods, pastries, breads etc. These refined grains can spike insulin levels, which is a pro-inflammatory hormone that can cause devastation to both how you look and what’s going on inside of your body. So, avoid refined grains as much as possible.

2. Fried or charred foods

plate of french fries with ketchup and mayonnaise on the sideFried or charred foods are responsible for something called AGE, or advanced glycosylated end products, which are responsible for binding up tissues and cells that make things internally stiffer and causes aging. Avoid anything fried or charred at any cost.

3. Sodas and juices

three different bottles of soda packed in iceSodas and juices are basically just sugar that spikes insulin levels, changes growth hormone levels and cortisol levels, and hormonally make you age at a much more rapid pace. Sodas and juices should be avoided wherever possible. They can be easily replaced with water or natural teas.

4. Anything in a box or bag

nutritional content label of food with a close up on trans fat and saturated fat amountsNow, this is a big food group. Imagine yourself walking through a market or a grocery store, going through the middle aisles, and seeing all of those boxes and bags. They’re full of ingredients that if you read them, you cannot (oftentimes) pronounce them. Those ingredients are associated with aging. They’re also typically very high in trans fats and partially hydrogenated oils. Trans fats and partially hydrogenated oils are preservatives to keep these foods on the shelves, but they age you. The body cannot process them in way that is healthful, so you should try to shop on the periphery of the grocery stores. Get fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, meats, cheeses, and avoid things in boxes and bags.

5. Seafood

different types of seafood such as fish, mussels, shrimp, and salmon on a white surfaceNumber five comes with a caveat. It’s seafood. You have to be very mindful about how you choose your seafood. Wild Alaskan salmon is wonderfully effective to slow down the aging process, but if you choose certain seafoods that are laden and loaded with high mercury, cadmium, and arsenic levels, then you change the metabolism of your cells and mitochondria which affects how you age. Watch out for seafood that is high in mercury and other heavy metals, and be especially cautious about shrimp and salmon. Avoid bigger fish like swordfish, shark, and king mackerel. Because these fish are in the higher echelon of the ocean food chain, this means that they ingest all the heavy metals that the smaller fish (aka their prey) eat.

These are the five food groups that you should avoid, or consume with caution. These are the food groups that will affect how you age, and make you look and feel older.

People Who Defy Aging Take This (ALL NATURAL)

Let’s talk about two ingredients that thousands of people around the world are using to defy the aging process: Resveratrol and Terminalia.

The Quest to Defy Aging

yellow signboard on a deserted road with the words "forever young"

This search for everlasting youth and not aging is nothing new for human beings. In fact, it began in the very beginning at the dawn of civilization. I remember as an undergrad reading one of the first books ever published by humans called “The Epic of Gilgamesh”. Gilgamesh was an individual who was on a mission to try and find the secret to anti-aging and forever youth. And, it’s now evolved into a $50 billion-a-year industry.

About three decades ago, scientists really honed in on the metabolical, anatomical, and biochemical processes of how we age genetically, and they basically came up with three theories:

  1. Oxidation – This basically means wear and tear over time. The oxidation process just rusts the body away.
  2. Age – Age stands for “Advanced Glycosylated End-product”. So, over time, tissues and cells binding together make us age more quickly.
  3. Genetic pathways – Genetic and DNA pathways that individual cells can choose to take. One pathway is growth and reproduction, where a cell divides over and over again. The other pathway is protection and maintenance (i.e. anti-aging).

Depending on the cell, every cell in the body goes through about 50 to 60 divisions. During that process, your telomeres (the end of your DNA) shorten and continue to shorten with every division. Scientists have clearly shown that the shorter your telomeres get, the more likely it is that your cells and you age over time.

Natural Anti-Aging Ingredients: Resveratrol and Terminalia

graphic of the human dna double helix

A couple of important DNA and enzyme processes are involved with aging: sirtuin and TOR enzymes.

Sirtuin enzymes work to help increase the pathways of protection and maintenance. In fact, some studies have shown that a decrease in sirtuin activity decreases lifespan by 30 percent, whereas, an increase in sirtuin enzymes can increase lifespan by 50 percent. On the other hand, TOR enzymes stimulate cell growth and reproduction.

Resveratrol and Terminalia are two anti-aging ingredients used to affect these processes and address all of the three theories about aging.

Resveratrol

woman holding a glass of red wine

Resveratrol is a very powerful antioxidant obtained by red wine and other antioxidant foods. But, in a refined form, resveratrol increases sirtuin enzymes, which help to increase the pathways of protection and maintenance. Resveratrol also works on something called the “TOR enzyme pathway” to decrease the pathway of growth from repair, and push it more towards protection and maintenance.

Terminalia

image of a single blue telomerase

Terminalia is an antioxidant in itself, but it increases the activity of the enzyme called “telomerase”, which can length the telomeres at the end of DNA and lengthen your lifespan. It also is an age blockade, so it blocks the aging process.

Conclusion

bottle of longevity activator anti-aging supplement by zenith labs

So, resveratrol and Terminalia are two really important ingredients that people are using around the world to defy the aging process. I’ve actually worked with some researchers and pharmacists to develop a product called Longevity Activator, which contains these two ingredients plus several others that work on these important theories of aging. You can try Longevity ActivaTOR risk-free for 30 days and see what a difference it makes!

Try This Easy Home Made face-peel To Reverse Aging (TEAR AWAY WRINKLES!)

Try This Easy Home Made face-peel To Reverse Aging (TEAR AWAY WRINKLES!)

Who says facial treatments have to be expensive? We’ll explore the benefits of you making homemade anti-aging facial peels that will help you smoothen fine lines and wrinkles. Get started and use it consistently!

Cosmeceutical companies make peels and creams that are purported to make you look younger. However, we’ve found that most of the powerful ingredients in these products can be made at home.

You don’t have to spend $90 or more per bottle to have the benefits of facial peels.

woman applying natural homemade facial maskThere are two main components in these facial peels: alpha and beta hydroxy acids. They’re exfoliants that help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. They also reduce dark spots on the skin, which will help you look and feel younger. They should be used every single day for the best effects. These ingredients are wallet-friendly and cheaper than most of the facial products out there. To top it all off, they work just as well, or even better than, your off-the-shelf cosmetic products.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids Facial Peel

woman having a facial peel applied by beauticianAlpha hydroxy acids uncover healthier skin beneath your older skin, and help younger cells come to the surface. The alpha facial peel is quite simple to make:

  • ¼ cup of fine cane sugar
  • ¼ cup of plain yogurt
  • 1 egg white mixed with 2 tsp of water
  • ¼ cup fine cane sugar

Whisk all the ingredients in bowl. It should become a slightly granulated paste. Apply this to your face, neck, and forehead. Try not to get too close to the eyes as it can be irritating. Wait 10-15 minutes for the peel to work on your skin. You can choose to scrub your skin and exfoliate. Then, use cotton balls or a washcloth to gently wipe the mixture off your face, or wash it off with cool water.

Beta Hydroxy Acids Facial Peel

woman lying on a spa bed having a facial peel applied Beta hydroxy acid peels should be used every day after you’ve done your alpha peels. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • ¼ cup of water
  • 10 uncoated aspirin (crushed)
  • 4-5 drops fresh lemon juice

Dissolve the baking soda with water. Crush up the aspirin and add it to the baking soda mixture. Add the lemon juice to activate the baking soda and aspirin. The mixture should be a fine paste. Apply it all over your face, forehead, cheeks, neck, and around the eyes (be careful not to get too close). Allow it to set for 10-15 minutes. Then, use a cotton ball or just cool water to wash it off.

Facial Peel for Sensitive Skin

woman with white headband and bright complexion holding half a cucumber in one hand and slices of cucumber in anotherIf your skin is more sensitive, you can still make a facial peel suitable for you. All you need are two ingredients: green tea, and cucumber. Make a cup of green tea and let it cool to room temperature. Peel half a cucumber, and put it in a blender along with the cooled tea. Blend it up and apply it to your skin. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes before removing.

These facial peels are effective and extremely cheap compared to some other products that are on the market. Make sure that you moisturize your face after the alpha and beta facial peels as they are exfoliating.

You’ll look younger, you’ll feel younger, and that is what is exciting. I believe in the original meaning of the word doctor, ‘docere’, which means teacher.
