Who doesn’t want to live longer – and look good doing it? We’re going to reveal our favorite anti-aging tip.

The Blue Zones

Researchers have scoured the globe and looked at different civilizations and places with centenarians (individuals that live over 100 years old). These areas that have a high concentration of centenarians are called Blue Zones. Researchers look at these civilizations so that they can get an idea of common trends on how people in these pockets of the world are able to defy age and live so long.

There are Blue Zones located in Greece, Japan, Sardinia, California, and Costa Rica.

But this number one anti-aging tip may surprise you – social engagement. Continually being involved in your community, being productive and engaged in challenging and interesting work, having relationships, being conscientious and prudent, having intentional choices, and socially involved in helping others could extend your life. Social engagement might be the key to aging. Researchers have found that being socially engaged is really important not only to how you age, but how long you are able to live your life.
